what makes a real partnership is collaboration and communication. when one lacks the other defintely suffers. you can't quite meet in the middle if you're both harboring different definitions and ideas of just where that middle ground may be.
best case scenario - you figure it out, misunderstandings, hiccups and all. worse case? tear stained expressions in between longer term moments of silence.
