certain sounds offer me an instant feeling of hopefulness. in a song, i can almost immediately hear it and pray that the impending vocals can back my sense of instant gratification. in the case of the new black light dinner party single, the interest i harbored upon pressing play was solidified by excellent vocals and meaningful lyrics.
